    The breakfast staff were very friendly and efficient. having said that,our room was quite a shock - it was very small, we could barely move around the bed. there were no dresser drawers and nowhere to unpack our suitcase. we had to frequently open the suitcases on the floor, and step over them to get to bed. the bathroom was okay, but very basic. we were locked in the elevator for 20 minutes. the staff did not seem to care, and did not apologize. i would not stay there again.

    Good location for rail station, bus station, taxi stand. staff were very helpful in providing information on travel to airport. provided box breakfast for our very early departure. some bathroom repairs needed (room 231): the shower head needs a new washer; currently, water sprays out where the hose is connected. also, the glass door on tub should have a gasket at bottom to prevent water from escaping. as it is, the bathroom floor ends up looking like grand canal!

    Great location, although a small room, it was clean and had a wonderful view over the grand canal. only issue was the front desk staff who were not helpful, quite short and dissmissive to the point of being rude. it was not only to us. but a number of other guests which i experienced on a number of occaisons. they did not smile once.

    I could not have been more satisfied. excellent personnel and service. breakfast was better than i expected. the premises, the room were very inviting. the location was right by the train station which was helpful since it was raining the day i arrived. it was also a short walk to where i had to meet a driver to take me to the airport. i would certainly stay there again, and recommend to anyone that may be travelling to venice
